Job Description

<p><p>The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology is seeking applications for a permanent full‑time Neonatologist. The Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital (JPCH) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a 48 single‑room unit that provides patient care to a range of infants, from extremely premature to those with surgical problems. The JPCH NICU serves a wide catchment area providing level 2 and level 3 newborn care, and offers a variety of active clinical programs such as point‑of‑care ultrasound, neuro‑critical care and family‑centered care. The successful candidate will join a team of five full‑time neonatologists, sharing the clinical workload of the NICU follow‑up program at JPCH. The team also includes six neonatal nurse practitioners and ten clinical associates.</p>

<p>The new Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital offers state‑of‑the‑art equipment and facilities for children, mothers and families from across Saskatchewan. Centrally located on the University of Saskatchewan campus, it provides neonatal intensive care, pediatric intensive care, general pediatrics, pediatric emergency and ambulatory services. Maternal services include labour and delivery, antepartum and postpartum care. The 176‑bed facility provides the highest quality of care and positions Saskatchewan at the forefront of research and innovation.</p>
