As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be selling wholesale electronic cabling, wiring, CCTV, and Audio/Video products to Security companies and Electrical contractors/integrators across Ontario. This is an outside sales position that will be a combination of managing an existing account base while also hunting for net new business, which offers $70,000 - $80,000 base salary plus commissions, with a lot of other perks!
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Base Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
- First-year OTE: $130,000+
- Second-year OTE: $150,000 (top performer makes $350,000/year)

Our client is one of North America's largest suppliers of networking products. Their main clientele is in the security, automation, intercommunications and telecommunications sectors. The company was founded in 1969 and currently has a staff of 45 company-wide. They promote a positive and collaborative work environment where all employees feel valued. OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:
- Head office - Woodbridge, ON
- Working in-office (1-2 days/week)
- 3-4 days in the field
- Sales territory is Ontario-wide (with a focus on the GTA)
EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of sales experience (preferably outside sales)
- Experience selling to electrical contractors, security companies, etc., is considered an asset
- Experience selling to purchasing managers is an asset
- University education preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Basic office applications
- Experience with CRM system

Electronic cabling, wiring, CCTV, Audio/Video, and accessories
PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS / INDUSTRY FOCUS / DECISION-MAKER(S):
- Security companies
- Electrical contractors/integrators
SALES CYCLE / PRODUCT VALUE / ACCOUNT SIZE:
- Average order size is $1,000-$5,000
- Average yearly revenue per client is $25,000 - $50,000
- The selling cycle is usually around 1-2 months

LEADS:
- 50% Prospecting/Cold Calling
- 50% following up on warm Leads

SUPPORT & TRAINING:
- Job shadowing
- Mentoring
- 2-3 months of sales & technical training
- Within 2-3 months, you will be selling to clients
