You’ll be involved in everything from inventory valuation and project accounting to U.S. sales tax compliance and ERP system support.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Be Doing:</strong></p><ul><li>Own and maintain accurate financial records in <strong>QuickBooks Online</strong>, including journal entries and monthly close processes.</li><li>Manage full-cycle <strong>inventory accounting, </strong>including <strong>COGS</strong>, <strong>BOMs</strong>, <strong>WIP analysis</strong>, and monthly reconciliation.</li><li>Prepare and analyze <strong>inventory control reports</strong> and support operations with insights on variances.</li><li>Handle <strong>bank reconciliations</strong>, maintain subsidiary accounts, and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Oversee <strong>AP/AR</strong> functions with accurate and timely posting and reconciliation.</li><li>Assist in preparing <strong>monthly financial statements</strong> (P&L, balance sheet, and related reports).</li><li>File <strong>GST/HST, WSIB, EHT</strong>, and manage <strong>US state-specific sales tax compliance</strong>.</li><li>Support <strong>payroll processing</strong> and contribute to <strong>project-based accounting</strong> as needed.</li><li>Collaborate on <strong>ERP implementation</strong> and drive continuous process improvements.</li><li>Maintain well-organized financial documentation and handle ad hoc projects.</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring to the Table:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Bachelor’s degree</strong> in Accounting, Finance, or related field (BSc or BComm).</li><li><strong>CPA designation</strong> (or actively pursuing).</li><li><strong>3-5 years of accounting experience</strong> in a manufacturing environment (electrical components experience is a plus).</li><li>Strong background in <strong>inventory management</strong> and <strong>COGS accounting</strong>.</li><li>Solid grasp of <strong>general ledger</strong>, <strong>month-end/year-end close</strong>, and <strong>financial reporting</strong>.</li><li>Proficiency in <strong>QuickBooks Online</strong> and familiarity with inventory systems.</li><li>Comfortable managing <strong>US state-specific sales tax filings</strong>.</li><li>Experience with <strong>payroll</strong>, <strong>tax filing</strong>, and <strong>project accounting</strong>.</li><li>Advanced skills in <strong>Microsoft Excel</strong> (pivot tables, data analysis).</li><li>Exposure to <strong>ERP systems</strong> or implementation is an asset.</li><li>Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and <strong>problem-solving</strong> skills.</li><li>Highly <strong>organized</strong>, a clear communicator, and able to work <strong>independently</strong> in a fast-paced environment.</li></ul><strong>Why Apply?</strong><p>This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional who’s ready to grow their impact, take ownership of core financial processes, and contribute to a team that values accuracy, initiative, and continuous improvement. <strong>Ready to bring your expertise to a high-impact role?</strong> Apply now and take the next step in your accounting career.</p></p></p></p>
