Responsibilities and Qualifications
Project Manager (IT Infrastructure) -8 -11 years
Preferable- PMP certification
Soft Skills
- Proficient in project management software and tools for planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, and cloud services.
- Understanding of compliance frameworks and security protocols relevant to infrastructure projects.
- Excellent understanding of IT policies and processes along with equipment to ensure that IT Operations run smoothly and efficiently
- Manage and coordinate various aspects of infrastructure development
- Can establish and maintain effective relationships with business and IT customers to gain their trust and respect
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior IT and business leaders with strong verbal and written skills
- Deep understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish project objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with business goals.
- Lead and mentor project management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent customer service with ability to manage customer expectations
- Proven ability to set priorities across multiple projects and drive for results
- Develop and implement strategic project plans, including risk management strategies, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication plans in accomplishing project objectives
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in project management and infrastructure delivery.
- Evaluate complex situations accurately and identifies viable solutions that create successful outcomes for the customer
Experience
- In depth understanding of project terminology and methodology
- 7+ years of experience managing multiple projects and project teams
- In depth Risk / Issue / Change Management knowledge
- Developing executive level PowerPoint presentations
- Expert skill using Microsoft Project to drive project execution and manage to critical path
- Experience in managing constrained schedules and resources in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to understand interdependencies and can connect the dots on how one part of a project impacts another
- Hosting meetings, taking meeting notes, and documenting action items
- Tracking action items and working with owners to obtain status
- Ability to organize complex and/or ambiguous information for project sponsor
- Organizing project goals / objectives into major streams of work with specific deliverables
- Initiate / launch project(s) to effectively manage deliverables
- Work on complex problems where analysis of situation or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors to achieve best results
- Work closely with the Program Sponsor and Operating Committee to facilitate decisions necessary for delivery
- Oversee effective project reviews to effect project success
- Develop and maintain “lessons-learned” inputs to the project repository for utilization on future projects
Interactions
- Global implementation effort with multiple Medium to Large Complex projects being managed will typically have:
- Individual team members from 5-7 cross functional teams and business sectors
- 2-4 Service providers needed to delivery key portions of the solution, which will include infrastructure, applications, and several interdisciplinary teams to support execution
- Serves as the leader of a multi-person project management team
- Joint project sponsors which requires project manager to gain consensus and set expectations
- Global business customers impacted by project delivery involving multiple sector geographies
- Directs global project team activities by influencing cross functional team members without direct line of authority (daily)
- Effective communication with project sponsor, Manager / Director, in customer organization (weekly)
- Status presentation and Stage Gate approval meeting with Directors and Sr Directors (Monthly)
- Sector business associates involved in project delivery (as needed)
- IT Services Suppliers coordination to deliver needed IT Services required for project delivery
- Works with EPMO Governance Analyst to align on key project artifacts and gains alignment on project governance
- Schedule, budget and scope constraints that cause pressure on delivery
