Were looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial roofing projects. This role focuses on new construction and re-roofing projects, supporting our sales and project management teams with reliable pricing, forecasting, and analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction drawings, materials, and labour requirements, and takes pride in delivering precise and timely proposals that help drive project success.
What Youll Do
- Purchase materials, consumables, tools, and equipment.
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders in Procuredesk.
- Build strong supplier relationships and negotiate competitive pricing.
- Coordinate deliveries to job sites, warehouses, and branches.
- Support Estimating with pricing and lead-time confirmation.
- Monitor material usage and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work closely with accounting to match invoices and reconcile Pos.
What You Bring
- 35 years purchasing/procurement experience (construction/trades preferred).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Experience with Procuredesk or other procurement software (asset).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with high purchasing volume.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of roofing materials or construction supply chains is an asset.
