Looking for a Couples Therapist to work Part-Time or Full-Time with a hybrid model, in Ottawa.

Are you a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychotherapist – or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)- who’s looking to make a real difference and join a supportive team? This independent contractor position offers flexibility, growth, and the chance to create positive change in the lives of our diverse and wonderful clients.


At Willow Roots Therapy we offer individual, couples, and family psychotherapy services, focused on interpersonal relationships, trauma and ADHD, as well as a range of other concerns. We believe in creating a collaborative and growth-oriented environment where everyone can thrive-not just our clients, but you too!


Requirements:

  • A Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (e.g. Marriage/ Couples and Family Therapy, Counselling Psychology, Social Work).
  • Registered or Qualifying and in good standing with the CRPO or OCSWSSW.
  • Training in couples therapy (e.g. EFT, Gottman Method, Family Systems) OR willingness to start training within the first year of working with us is essential .
  • Professional liability insurance and vulnerable sector police check.
  • Ability to work a hybrid model (from home for virtual services and from our offices in Sandy Hill for in-person services).


Expectations:

  • Be able to provide individual, couple, and/or family psychotherapy.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
  • A minimum of 15 direct client hours per week.
  • Available to work some evenings.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Be able to implement boundaries as needed and to provide client-centered care with empathy and compassion.
  • Able to work independently, as well as with a team

Assets:

  • Registration with the CACFT (formerly CAMFT)
  • ADHD training (or willingness to complete)
  • Sex therapy training (or willingness to complete)
  • Experience with modalities such as Family Systems, Narrative, IFS, Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic, EFT, CBT, the Gottman Method and EMDR.
  • Fluent in a second language

Client Rate: $160-$180/ 50 minute session depending on Registration status
