Job Title: Restoration Technician / Restoration Specialist

Job Summary:

The Restoration Technician is responsible for responding to emergency restoration needs, assessing damage, and performing cleanup, repair, and restoration of residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, or other disasters. This role involves hands-on labor, use of specialized equipment, and ensuring that all work meets company and industry standards for quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls for restoration services (water, fire, mold, storm, or other damage).

  • Assess the extent of damage and determine the appropriate restoration procedures.

  • Set up and operate restoration equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, extractors, etc.).

  • Remove damaged materials and perform cleanup, drying, and sanitization.

  • Assist with demolition, debris removal, and structural drying.

  • Document work performed, including taking photos, moisture readings, and job notes.

  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers.

  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in clean, working condition.

  • Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and industry standards (IICRC, OSHA, etc.).

  • Assist in rebuilding and repair work as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor for extended periods.

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends for emergency calls.

  • IICRC Certification (e.g., WRT, FSRT, AMRT) a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Field-based; may involve working in damaged, wet, or smoky environments.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

  • On-call rotation for emergency response.
