This role is ideal for a technically strong accounting professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and contributing to process improvements that enhance financial accuracy and operational efficiency. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in preparing financial reports, supporting audit and tax requirements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.</li><li>Prepare and review financial statements and account reconciliations, investigating variances and providing actionable insights.</li><li>Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and support external reporting requirements.</li><li>Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and strengthen internal controls.</li><li>Contribute to special projects and system initiatives designed to enhance efficiency and financial transparency.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.</li><li>CPA designation (or candidate actively completing the program).</li><li>Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting; exposure to manufacturing, construction, or distribution industries considered an asset.</li><li>Proficiency with ERP systems and strong working knowledge of Canadian GAAP (ASPE).</li><li>Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.</li><li>Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.</li></ul><p>Looking to interview and hire immediately.</p><p>TSSHP<br />LI-TS1</p></p></p>Create Your Resume First
