Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Microsoft Azure Engineer to join our Managed Services team. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and supporting Azure-based solutions for iVedha's customers, with a strong focus on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), cloud migrations, and ongoing managed service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure Architecture & Deployment
- Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions, including VNets, NSGs, Azure Firewall, and governance policies.
- Lead Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments, including FSLogix profile management, scaling, and performance tuning.
- Migration Projects
- Plan and execute on-premises to Azure migrations, including servers, applications, and data.
- Utilize tools like Azure Migrate, ASR, and third-party replication solutions for seamless cutovers.
- Migrate On-prem Exchange servers and workloads to M365 and Azure.
- Managed Services Operations
- Provide L3 support for Azure environments, including proactive monitoring, patching, and incident resolution.
- Implement cost optimization strategies, tagging policies, and security baselines.
- Microsoft 365 & Identity
- Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams) and integrate with Azure AD, Conditional Access, and Intune.
- Automation & Scripting
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and Azure CLI for deployments and operational tasks.
- Customer Engagement
- Act as a technical SME during client workshops, migrations, and escalations.
- Document solutions, provide knowledge transfer, and mentor junior engineers.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure roles, with 5+ years in Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments and troubleshooting.
- Strong background in on-prem to Azure migrations (servers, apps, and data).
- Expertise in Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Intune, and security/compliance features.
- Hands-on experience with PowerShell and Azure CLI scripting.
- Knowledge of Azure governance, cost optimization, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Nice-to-Have
- Certifications: AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-140 (AVD), or equivalent.
- Experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC, Universal Print, and hybrid identity solutions.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform).
