Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements through interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.
- Conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and feasibility studies to identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with IT, operations, and end-users to ensure projects align with organizational goals.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and post-implementation reviews.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and recommend solutions to ensure on-time delivery.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in IT business analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst or in a similar role.
- Proven expertise in requirements elicitation, process modelling (e.g., BPMN, UML), and tools like Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Visio.
- Strong understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
- Certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or equivalent.
- Experience in industries like finance, healthcare, or e-commerce.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, or cybersecurity.
