This role offers the chance to work closely with <b>Data Science and Machine Learning</b> teams, supporting the development of scalable, automated AWS cloud solutions that drive real innovation.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a <b>fully remote position within Canada</b>, ideal for a DevOps professional who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced, and technically complex environments.</p><p><br></p><p><b>The Role</b></p><p>As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, deploying, and maintaining AWS infrastructure that powers advanced data and ML projects. You’ll work alongside talented engineers and researchers to create efficient, reproducible, and secure environments.</p><p><br></p><p>You will:</p><ul><li>Build and manage <b>AWS-based cloud solutions</b> to support R&D initiatives.</li><li>Collaborate with <b>Data Science and ML teams</b> to automate workflows and enhance delivery pipelines.</li><li>Develop and maintain <b>CI/CD</b> and <b>IaC</b> frameworks (GitHub Actions, CodeBuild, CloudFormation, CDK).</li><li>Drive <b>continuous improvement</b> and <b>innovation</b> in cloud operations and automation practices.</li><li>Mentor and support team members, fostering best practices in DevOps and cloud architecture.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>About You</b></p><p>You’re an experienced AWS DevOps engineer who enjoys working across disciplines to make complex systems run smoothly. You’re comfortable working independently and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Required Skills & Experience:</b></p><ul><li>5+ years of hands-on experience with <b>AWS</b>, including ECR, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, SageMaker, Bedrock, and EC2.</li><li>Strong scripting ability in <b>Python</b> and <b>Bash</b>.</li><li>Proficiency with <b>CI/CD</b> tools (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild) and <b>IaC</b> (CloudFormation, CDK).</li><li>Solid understanding of systems design and DevOps best practices.</li><li>Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Preferred Skills:</b></p><ul><li><b>AWS Certifications</b> (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer).</li><li>Familiarity with <b>machine learning workflows</b> and <b>MLOps</b> concepts.</li><li>Experience with <b>Kubernetes</b> or similar container orchestration tools.</li><li>Knowledge of <b>monitoring tools</b> (Datadog, AWS CloudWatch).</li><li>Background in <b>cloud optimization</b> and cost management.</li><li>Experience using <b>AI-assisted development tools</b> such as GitHub Copilot.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Why Apply?</b></p><ul><li>Work <b>fully remotely anywhere in Canada</b>.</li><li>Join an <b>innovative, research-driven organization</b> at the forefront of Data Science and AI.</li><li>Collaborate with talented engineers and researchers on impactful projects.</li><li>Competitive rate available</li></ul>
