<p>EXP Services Inc. is searching for an Electrical Principal to join our Mechanical/Electrical team in our Markham, ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.</p>
<h3>What a day at EXP has in store for you</h3>
<ul>
<li>Reports to the Senior Vice President – Buildings, work independently and with minimal supervision on projects from start to completion.</li>
<li>Leads project activities and mentor design staff on all aspects of their work.</li>
<li>Oversees a team of project engineers and designers for technical, resourcing and design quality.</li>
<li>Responsible for meeting engineering quality standards on assigned projects.</li>
<li>Manages development of design concepts and ensures proper application and execution.</li>
<li>Provides mentorship and supervision for project engineers and designers</li>
<li>Leads proposals and pursuits and supports business development.</li>
<li>Oversees financial & technical project management.</li>
<li>Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule.</li>
<li>Leads the design team to produce schematic design, design development, tender and construction documents that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget.</li>
<li>Writes, studies and reports on electrical system work.</li>
</ul>
<h3>What your experience looks like</h3>
<ul>
<li>The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field.</li>
<li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng) licensed with PEO is required.</li>
<li>Proven team leadership experience.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills and articulate verbal communication-essential for collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of electrical engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.</li>
<li>Advanced oral and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Presentation and interview skills.</li>
<li>Bachelor of Science in ElectricalEngineering or equivalent degree.</li>
<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.) products and electrical design software.</li>
<li>Auto CAD experience and REVIT MEP proficiency desired.</li>
</ul>
