Senior Learning & Development Consultant – Temporary 1 year contract


Grainger Canada is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Consultant to design, develop, and deliver onboarding and training programs for the Field Ops organization.


Remote – open to all Canada teams.


Responsibilities



  • Design comprehensive learning materials and training programs, including job aids and instructional videos.

  • Develop content for instructor‑led, web‑based, virtual, and other delivery approaches.

  • Lead the formulation and update of procedures and learning programs.

  • Maintain learning sites, manage training calendars, and update content as needed.

  • Facilitate onboarding and training sessions virtually or live, ensuring knowledge retention.

  • Provide targeted performance coaching during and post training periods.

  • Build and support effective training, communication, adoption, and change management plans.

  • Prioritize work to meet aggressive deadlines and support Field Ops initiatives.

  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications



  • 5‑6 years of learning and development experience, including facilitation, content creation, and learning content management.

  • Post‑secondary degree or diploma in business, adult learning/education, organizational development, or instructional design (or equivalent experience).

  • Exceptional communication skills – articulate verbal and written communication.

  • Team player with a collaborative mindset, able to work from a virtual location.

  • Proven success in live and virtual training delivery, confident presentation skills.

  • Flexible, proactive, and creative, open to change and identify knowledge gaps.

  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Learning platform knowledge is an asset.

  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.

  • Must be flexible, proactive and creative, open to change and willing to potential knowledge gaps to leadership.
