LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager for a 6-month contract with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
The successful candidate will work remotely for the duration of the contract
Key Tasks
- Be responsible for finalizing and maintaining a project plan and managing all aspects of the project to ensure good governance and the monitoring and management of risk
- Keep the project on time and budget and provide reporting and guidance to Senior Leadership
- Work in tandem and collaboratively with the Back Office Refresh Project Team, Back Office Refresh Executive Project Sponsors, the Senior Management Team
- Implement and work with consultant agency and internal process owners and stakeholders on large-scale modernization/transformation of systems/tools to perform back office functions and operations
- Implement a Financial, Procurement, Payroll and Human Resource Information System platform solution
- Provide Organizational Change Management
- Manage large complex transformation projects
- Manage a diverse team of consultants and client team members
- Provide executive presence and brief board members, senior executives
- Manage project timelines and risks in a proactive and solution-oriented manner
- Effectively run PM team meetings
- Deploy IT solutions within the organization
- Deploy readiness planning, tracking and reporting
Key Qualifications
- Project Management experience implementing large scale modernization/transformation of systems/tools for back office functions
- Experience implementing a Financial, Procurement, Payroll and Human Resource Information System platform solution
- Experience with systems integration projects, including experience integrating a new system with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft and/or other IT systems
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dealing with vendors including consulting firms
- Ability to drive results and hold vendors and consulting firms accountable for deliverables
- Experience in the successful implementation of Change Management
- Experience developing appropriate project management documentation and monitoring tools
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to effectively run team meetings, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items
- Excellent understanding of and experience in project phases of execution
- Experience in deployment readiness planning, tracking and reporting
