<p><p>Senior Structural Engineer at <b>AECOM</b> – Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada (hybrid work possible). Some site travel may be required. Opportunities for career growth.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead and contribute to the successful design, production, coordination and management of structural building designs</li><li>Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards</li><li>Communicate effectively (verbal and written) with clients and internal team members in the development of designs and preparation of technical specifications of structural building systems</li><li>Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports</li><li>Coordinate with other business lines and engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure efficient project execution</li><li>Conduct reviews to ensure that engineering deliverables (drawings, specifications, reports, calculations, analysis) comply with applicable regulations, standards, corporate procedures and sound engineering practices</li><li>Assist in organizing and maintaining structural design guidelines</li><li>Provide engineering support and supervision to EITs, Technologists, Technicians and CAD/REVIT staff</li><li>Review shop drawings for structural adequacy and compliance with structural drawings</li><li>Carry out business development activities including client liaison, proposal preparation and promotional work</li><li>Prepare or assist in preparation of engineering fee estimates for bids and proposals on structural engineering</li><li>Conduct site visits, inspections, and structural assessments to evaluate structure’s conditions and provide recommendations</li><li>Ensure project deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule expectations</li><li>Stay updated on codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions</li></ul><h3>Minimum Requirements</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in structural engineering and six (6) years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education</li><li>Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Manitoba in good standing</li><li>Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance</li><li>Ability to recognize and adhere to established deadlines and schedules</li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential)</li></ul><h3>Preferred Qualifications</h3><ul><li>10+ years of experience in structural engineering after receiving P.Eng., including demonstrated leadership in design delivery</li><li>Experience in IPD (Integrated Project Delivery)</li><li>Experience in structural design of industrial plants, commercial buildings, government facilities, municipal infrastructure, and transit stations</li><li>Proficiency in 3D structural analysis, modeling, and design software including ETABS, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, and other CAD tools relevant to this role</li><li>Proven expertise in applying major structural design codes and standards (NBCC, MBC, CSA S16, CSA A23.1, CSA A23.3, CSA S304, CSA O86, AISC 360, ACI 350, ACI 318, etc.)</li><li>Ability to fit into a fast-paced team environment and/or work independently</li><li>Self-motivated, detail oriented and able to multi-task</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul><li>Company paid relocation is not available for this position</li><li>Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position</li><li>Occasional business travel within Manitoba and in Western Canada may be required</li></ul><h3>Compensation</h3><p>Offered rate of compensation is based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
