Shop Hand

In this entry level position, you will assist other shop personnel and Project Managers with a variety of tasks, while learning the basics of maintenance on Ketek equipment, including how to operate various hand tools. The Shop Hand is expected to be adaptable, eager to learn, and have basic mechanical aptitude.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, understand and execute instructions from Shop Foreman and senior employees.
  • Disassemble equipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean.
  • Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform supervisor of problem.
  • Assembling and preparing equipment for field use.
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
  • Frequent manual lifting

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
  • Experience working with basic hand tools
  • Must have Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean driving abstract
  • Ability to operate equipment considered an asset
