<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Job Type: Full-time<br><br>Location: 945 Gardiners Rd, Kingston, ON</strong></p><p><strong>About the Role: Site Manager</strong></p><p>Fairgrounds is looking for a dynamic, organized, and people-driven <strong>Site Manager</strong> to lead operations at one of our growing club locations. In this role, you&#39;ll be responsible for delivering a best-in-class member experience, managing day-to-day site operations, leading a high-performing team, and overseeing all aspects of the site&#39;s programming, scheduling, and financial performance.</p><p>If you thrive in a leadership role, have a passion for racket sports (especially pickleball!), and enjoy creating welcoming, community-driven spaces, we want you on our team.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Leadership & Staff Management</strong></p><ul><li>Train, supervise, and schedule all site staff</li><li>Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture</li><li>Conduct regular performance check-ins and provide ongoing coaching and feedback</li><li>Maintain clear internal communication and ensure staff alignment with Fairgrounds&#39; service standards</li></ul><p><strong>Site Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Own and manage day-to-day site operations to ensure a clean, safe, and organized facility</li><li>Become a membership expert taking a membership sales approach to optimize club revenue and operations</li><li>Execute daily walk-throughs and proactively address any site issues or operational gaps</li><li>Implement and refine operational processes to improve efficiency and member satisfaction</li><li>Act as the primary on-site contact for escalations and incident management</li><li>Become the liaison for selected club ambassadors<br /></li></ul><p><strong>Programming & Scheduling</strong></p><ul><li>Input and oversee court schedules and programming (e.g., open play, round robins, clinics)</li><li>Ensure programs align with member needs and brand goals</li><li>Monitor participation and gather feedback to continually improve programming<br /></li></ul><p><strong>Business & Financial Oversight</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the location&#39;s P&L, meet performance targets, and track KPIs</li><li>Process payroll accurately and on time</li><li>Support retail sales through effective inventory management and team coaching</li><li>Ensure all transactions are processed accurately via POS systems<br /></li></ul><p><strong>Member & Community Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Act as the face of Fairgrounds at your location</li><li>Build relationships with members and local community groups</li><li>Address member concerns with professionalism and care</li><li>Track and analyze member satisfaction data to guide service improvements<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 23 years of experience in a management or supervisory role</li><li>Experience in hospitality, fitness, sport, or recreation environments is preferred</li><li>Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team</li><li>Strong organizational and problem-solving skills</li><li>Financial acumen and comfort managing budgets and payroll</li><li>Familiarity with scheduling, POS, or facility management software</li><li>Passion for customer service and community-building</li><li>Interest or experience in racket sports (pickleball, padel, tennis, etc.)</li><li>Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays<br><br></li></ul><p><strong>Schedule</strong></p><ul><li>40 hours a week on-site</li><li>Includes morning, evening, and weekend availability<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation</strong><p><strong>TBD</strong>, commensurate with experience<br /></p><p>We appreciate all applicants for their interest in joining our team, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
