Job Description <p>Job Description<p>Job Title: Solderer Assembler<p>SHIFT </p><p><strong>Mon-Fri </strong> </p><p>7AM-330PM </p><p>+ OT when busy </p><p><strong>PAY </strong> </p><p>1-3 years of soldering exp $22-$24 </p><p>Job Description </p><p>As a Solderer Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling electronic components, including complex and high-density projects, following assembly books, custom specifications, and quality standards. You will perform hand soldering and rework on thru-hole, SMT, mixed, and mechanical assemblies per engineering specs and IPC standards. Your role involves preparing, placing, and installing components accurately, as well as operating and maintaining various assembly and testing equipment. You will set up, calibrate, and maintain test stations, complete test logs, and report yields. Additionally, you will test product functionality using tools like multimeters and PC-based programming, finalize assembly, and prepare products for packing and shipping. Participation in training and certification programs to maintain up-to-date skills and supporting team-level quality initiatives, including root cause analysis, are also key components of this role. </p><p>Responsibilities </p><ul><li>Assemble electronic components following assembly books and quality standards. </li><li>Perform hand soldering and rework on various assembly types. </li><li>Prepare, place, and install components accurately. </li><li>Operate and maintain assembly and testing equipment. </li><li>Set up, calibrate, and maintain test stations. </li><li>Complete test logs and report yields. </li><li>Test product functionality using multimeters and PC-based tools. </li><li>Finalize assembly and prepare products for packing and shipping. </li><li>Participate in training and certification programs. </li><li>Support team-level quality initiatives, including root cause analysis. </li><li>Communicate effectively with team members to resolve and prevent issues. </li> </ul><p>Essential Skills </p><ul><li>1 year of soldering experience. </li><li>Proficiency with hand tools like screwdrivers and torque wrenches. </li><li>Experience with rework on mechanical/electrical assemblies. </li><li>Good English communication skills and ability to read assembly documentation. </li><li>Proficient computer skills. </li><li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. on a non-repetitive basis. </li><li>Ability to distinguish different colors accurately. </li> </ul><p>Additional Skills & Qualifications </p><ul><li>Familiarity with SMT (Surface Mount Technology). </li><li>Flexible and eager to learn. </li><li>Good team environment skills, with a positive attitude. </li> </ul><p>Why Work Here? </p><p>Enjoy a clean environment with friendly coworkers, social events, and complimentary coffee and tea. Employees may occasionally be exposed to dust, solder, metals, high noise levels from machinery, or physical hazards from moving equipment. The culture emphasizes teamwork, positivity, and inclusion, with cross-training opportunities available. The team consists of about 50 members, and the environment is louder during morning shifts and quieter in the afternoon. The dress code requires a smock, shoe covers, earplugs, goggles, and closed-toe shoes.
