About Potash

The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long‑term roles. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages.

Purpose

Our team purpose is to deliver sustainable value for Potash through commercial expertise. This role is integral in ensuring Potash has the right commercial mechanisms and supplier relationships in place as we transition from the project to an Operating Asset.

About The Role

  • Develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies for the category
  • Complete end to end sourcing activities aligned with BHP’s Governance and Risk guidelines
  • Manage executed contracts as required within the outlined Contracting Tiers
  • Provide commercial insights to support or lead cost and working capital optimization activities

Work Location

Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

About You

  • Experience in Supply, Inventory or Maintenance related roles would be considered an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Detail‑oriented, highly motivated, and effective time management skills
  • Experience influencing stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team environment is a must
