<p>The Test Development Engineer thrives at the intersection of hardware and software, solving complex problems in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position offers the potential to grow into a project lead role within two to three years. The engineer will develop functional and system-level test strategies and solutions for various sectors, including Aerospace & Defense, Health Tech, Smart Energy, and Industrial segments. You will deliver these solutions to global production sites and support local engineering teams during product launches. This project-based role involves collaborating with a team of experienced engineers and technicians in a dedicated test development lab.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop production test strategies based on product design specifications.</li>
<li>Lead the design and development of test solutions, including hardware and software components.</li>
<li>Participate in all development phases: test planning, software development, hardware design, system integration, procurement, qualification, and installation support.</li>
<li>Provide development support for multiple global production facilities.</li>
<li>Optimize test processes to improve cycle time and yield.</li>
<li>Analyze data to identify continuous improvement opportunities.</li>
<li>Integrate tools and code from internal teams or external customers.</li>
<li>Debug solutions using design of experiments and failure analysis methodologies.</li>
<li>Review and validate technical documentation such as test plans, schematics, PFMEA, and qualification reports.</li>
<li>Act as a liaison between customers, program managers, and technical teams.</li>
<li>Apply continuous improvement principles throughout development.</li>
<li>Occasional travel and flexible work schedules for global site support.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Essential Skills</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years in engineering development (design, develop, debug).</li>
<li>3+ years hands‑on experience with National Instruments LabVIEW for test automation.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Altium Designer for schematics.</li>
<li>Technical leadership on engineering projects.</li>
<li>Customer and vendor facing experience.</li>
<li>Hardware development and integration, test equipment, and manufacturing environment experience.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Additional Skills & Qualifications</h3>
<ul>
<li>Programming experience in Python.</li>
<li>Experience with NI hardware (PXI, DAQ).</li>
<li>Familiarity with controlled goods regulations and security screening processes.</li>
<li>Knowledge of test process optimization and productivity improvement techniques.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Work Environment</h3>
<p>This role involves reporting and client‑facing exposure, interacting with multiple teams. Work is conducted in a lab setting, involving assembly of test fixtures, instrument racks, and PCB assembly, as well as an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas. Extended periods of sitting and computer work are required, with frequent manual movements such as data entry, mouse use, and calculator operation.</p>

<h3>Pay and Benefits</h3>
<p>The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.</p>
