The ROLE

As a ROCK Therapist (birth to age 8), you will focus on early assessment, intervention, risk identification, caregiver support, and skills development for infants and young children up to age 8 and their families. In this permanent full-time role (35 hours per week), you will report to the Clinical Manager and deliver services using a family centered and developmentally informed approach. Your passion for therapeutic intervention, skills development, and psycho-education will drive your work in individual, family, and group settings. Additionally, you will contribute to program development, supervise students, ensure accurate documentation, and uphold client safety standards.This posting is for an existing vacancy.


Who were looking for:


Education

  • A relevant masters degree from a recognized university.
  • Registration with an accrediting professional body is required (i.e. College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, College of Psychologists of Ontario, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario).
  • Certification in Infant Mental Health and/or training in infant and child development is preferred

Experience

  • A minimum of three years clinical experience working with infants, young children and their families
  • Relevant knowledge and skill in the assessment and treatment of children, youth, and families that are encountering mental health issues.
  • practice or training in one or more of the following skill areas:
    • Providing group treatment OR facilitating parent events.
    • CBT, and/or trauma assessment skills.
    • Working across the age continuum using clinical frames, such as systemic family therapy, attachment, and developmental lenses.
  • Proficient in the use of technology as required of the position, including working in a virtual environment with MAC OS operating systems experience preferred.
  • Current (within three months) criminal reference check with vulnerable sector search.
