Overview:
Seeking a Senior Engineer to lead the design, integration, and commissioning of complex test systems for validating mixed-signal (digital and RF) aerospace electronics. This role involves collaboration with PCB, FPGA, software, and RF teams, and includes leadership of a product integration team for flight hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build complex aerospace test equipment
- Define validation strategies and write test procedures
- Assemble custom test racks (environmental devices, instrumentation, harnesses)
- Coordinate with FPGA/software teams for integration
- Develop CI/CD test frameworks and sequences
- Support compliance documentation and data generation
- Lead debugging of test systems and flight hardware
- Produce technical documentation and reports
- Innovate experimental techniques for new tech
- Plan team tasks to meet schedule and budget
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical/Digital Engineering
- 5-10+ years in high-speed (20 GHz+) and RF electronics testing
- Familiar with aerospace qualification standards
- Knowledge of protocols: RS-485/422/232, I2C, MIL-STD-1553, SpaceWire, Ethernet, SerDes
- Skilled in reading schematics and using lab instruments (oscilloscopes, analyzers, etc.)
- Experience with environmental testing (thermal, vacuum, EMI, etc.) is a plus
- Strong teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills
