Job Title: Yard Technician

Job Description

The candidate will work in a yard ensuring spaces are cleaned, repaired, and in working condition for customers. This outdoor role involves performing numerous tasks such as paint touch-ups, drywall repairs, fixing dents with sledgehammers, and occasionally using a pressure washer to clean facilities. You will interact with customers, checking in and checking out rentals, conducting minor inspections, and managing inventory counts. Learning to operate a larger forklift is a requirement for this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities are clean and in working condition.
• Perform paint and drywall touch-ups.
• Fix dents using sledgehammers.
• Use a pressure washer.
• Conduct minor inspections and manage inventory counts.
• Provide customer service.
• Control inventory.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction or light industrial background.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• General labor and carpentry skills.
• Ability to learn forklift operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry, trades, building maintenance, or as a handyman.
• Hands-on experience in electrical or plumbing fields.
• Forklift experience is preferred, but training can be provided in-house.

Work Environment

The work is conducted outdoors with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM from Monday to Friday, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. Additional hours may be available during busy times.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Calgary, AB.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
