Job duties: Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, maintain general ledgers, and prepare trial balance of books. Prepare payroll by calculating earnings, deductions, and taxes, and issue cheques or process direct deposits. Calculate and prepare payments for utilities, taxes, and other company expenses. Complete and submit government forms such as GST/HST returns, payroll remittances, workers compensation, and pension contribution reports. Prepare personal and business income tax returns and provide other related bookkeeping services. Prepare financial statements and generate statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required by management or external accountants. Job Requirements: Completion of high school is required.
