Building CAD Technician

Job Description

<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized<b> CAD Technician</b> to join our Design team! This position holds responsibility to prepare and update conceptual designs and construction drawing sets, source materials and coordinate project design changes to support the project team in the execution of multi-unit building construction projects.</p><p><br></p><p>Please note that this position will be a full time, in office, position.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Job Duties: </b></p><ul><li>Prepare drawings using design software, including but not limited to:</li><li>Interior details and millwork drawings</li><li>Reflected ceiling plans</li><li>Floor plans</li><li>Finish schedules</li><li>Floor finish plans</li><li>Detail plans</li><li>Source furniture, materials, and finishes that align with project goals.</li><li>Develop concept proposals/presentations, including mood boards, color schemes, and material selections.</li><li>Prepare plans and specifications for the final design in accordance with current practices and codes.</li><li>Maintain consistent organization of both the sample and digital library.</li><li>Visit current construction sites to verify dimensions and details.</li><li>Stay informed about design trends, materials, and technology to offer the best solutions</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Your experience & abilities: </b></p><ul><li>Strong understanding of design principles, materials, and industry trends.</li><li>Ability to interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.</li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.</li><li>Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.</li><li>Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.</li><li>Basic understanding and application of Building Code(s) and other standards or codes of practice.</li><li>Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar.</li><li>Advanced with Microsoft Office applications</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>What we offer:</b></p><ul><li>Competitive compensation</li><li>Extended benefits program</li><li>Employer matched retirement savings options</li><li>Employee and Family Assistance Program</li><li>Employee recognition program</li><li>Employee perks discount program</li><li>Training and development programs</li><li>Opportunities for career growth</li><li>Opportunities to be part of sector innovation</li><li>Unlimited storytelling and friendships</li></ul><p></p>
