<h3><strong>Role Overview </strong> </h3><p>As a Senior DevOps Engineer specializing in Snowflake and Databricks, you will be responsible for the continuous administration, improvement, and optimization of Intact’s cloud data platforms. Your mission is to enhance performance, scalability, and user experience through effective automation, infrastructure efficiency, and cost management initiatives. </p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong> </h3><p><strong>Platform Operations & Optimization </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Administer and optimize Snowflake and Databricks environments to improve scalability, performance, and cost efficiency </p><li><p>Implement automation for operations and deployment to streamline workflows </p> </ul><p><strong>Software Development & Debugging </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex platform issues </p><li><p>Conduct root cause analysis and define both short-term and long-term corrective actions </p><li><p>Develop and deploy technical enhancements and fixes </p> </ul><p><strong>Architecture & Requirements </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Lead the definition of platform requirements and ensure alignment with solution architecture </p><li><p>Design and execute proof-of-concepts for medium to large initiatives </p> </ul><p><strong>Monitoring & Support </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Independently manage escalations requiring senior technical expertise </p><li><p>Improve monitoring, observability, and alerting capabilities </p> </ul><p><strong>Deployment & CI/CD </strong> </p><ul><li><p>Propose and implement solutions to enhance deployment automation and DevOps best practices across the ecosystem </p> </ul><hr><h3><strong>Required Qualifications </strong> </h3><ul><li><p>Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field </p><li><p><strong>5–8 years of DevOps experience </strong>, ideally supporting ML/AI-driven platforms </p><li><p>Proven experience administering <strong>Snowflake and Databricks </strong> at the platform level </p><li><p>Strong expertise with <strong>IaC and CI/CD tools </strong>: </p><ul><li><p>Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Terraform, GitLab </p> </ul><li><p>Proficiency in <strong>Python </strong> and <strong>Bash </strong> </p><li><p>Experience with monitoring and logging tools: </p><ul><li><p>CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana </p> </ul><li><p>Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities </p><li><p>Excellent communication and teamwork skills </p> </ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred/Asset Skills </strong> </h3><ul><li><p>Experience with Data/AI tools such as AWS SageMaker or Bedrock </p><li><p>Snowflake or Databricks platform certifications </p> </ul><p ><p>Vaco by Highspring values a diverse workplace and strongly encourages women, people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, members of ethnic minorities, foreign-born residents, and veterans to apply. </p> </p><p ><h3>EEO Notice </h3><p>Vaco by Highspring is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race (including but not limited to traits historically associated with race such as hair texture and hair style), color, sex (includes pregnancy or related conditions), religion or creed, national origin, citizenship, age, disability, status as a veteran, union membership, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, political affiliation, or any other protected characteristics as required by federal, state or local law. </p><p>Vaco by Highspring and its parents, affiliates, and subsidiaries are committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals.
