<p>Reporting to the Food Service Manager the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role in enriching the lives of residents by providing nutritious and delicious meals, that are prepared and served with love. <p>This is a <b>Part Time</b> role with <b>a 4:15pm-7:45pm schedule including a rotational weekend schedule</b>, though extended hours may be required from time to time. The environment is fast-paced and deadline-driven, requiring high attention to detail and strong time management skills. The role includes regular use of computer systems and collaboration with cross-functional teams.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring food is handled in a safe manner, including proper storage and labeling</li>
<li>Assisting cooks in basic food preparation</li>
<li>Executing proper food service in relation to internal and external guidelines and protocols</li>
<li>Serving meals according to Resident diet orders</li>
<li>Washing, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining room</li>
</ul>
<h3>Knowledge And Skills Required</h3>
<ul>
<li>Mandatory enrollment or completion of a College Level Food Service Worker Program, meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act</li>
<li>Possess a current Safe Food Handling Certificate</li>
<li>Have a caring heart with a passion for serving others</li>
<li>Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to be a team player</li>
<li>A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of hire date.</li>
<li>Completion of a 2 Step TB Skin test within the last 12 months.</li>
