Like a diamond we look for people who will grow stronger and shine brighter in a fast pace and challenging environment.</p><p>We have a full-time permanent position for a<br>General Labourer<br>(known internally as a Service Technician) to join our Stoney Creek Branch in Ontario.</p><p>The role is responsible for cleaning, maintenance and repair to ensure that our Modular fleet is in optimal condition for our customers. The ideal candidate will be a well- rounded general contractor or handyman, with experience in areas such as flooring, window and wall repairs and exterior siding.</p><p>Duties & Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Complete general labor type duties including cleaning, painting and moving units in the yard</li><li>Loading/Unloading of decks, ramps, furniture and other items as needed</li><li>Assisting with managing warehouse inventory & shelving systems for the branch</li><li>Floor repairs, including tile work</li><li>Wall building and repairs</li><li>Installing Kitchenettes, toilets, and sinks</li><li>Exterior Steel Siding Work</li><li>Fitting and Installing Windows, Doors, Molding's and Hardware</li><li>Cleaning of Modular Units</li><li>Performing Yard/shop maintenance and clean up</li><li>Material handling</li><li>General, Rough and Finish Carpentry, and Framing</li><li>Assisting with planning for upcoming projects</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>2-4 years of general laborer experience and/or in general maintenance</li><li>Modular or trailer/RV experience would be an asset</li><li>Able to work in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple priorities and managing deadlines</li><li>Positive attitude, with strong work ethic and team player</li><li>Problem solving abilities</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Willingness to travel to customer site on occasion within the local service area</li><li>Fall protection, First Aid Certification and WHMIS an asset</li><li>Forklift ticket an asset</li><li>Able to pass a pre-employment criminal records check and Drug and Alcohol Testing</li><li>Comfortable using a tablet</li><li>Valid Driver's license and clean driving abstract is required</li></ul><p>Physical Requirements :</p><ul><li>Comfortable with working outdoors in all weather</li><li>Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to complete physically demanding duties, including but not limited to standing for long periods, repetitive movement</li></ul><p>BOXX Modular is a subsidiary of Black Diamond Group.
