D&M Pharmacy and Travel Clinic is an independent, patient-focused retail pharmacy providing comprehensive prescription services and specialized travel health support. We are looking for a motivated Pharmacy Assistant or Pharmacy Technician to join our growing SE Calgary team.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in person and by phone; respond to inquiries and direct questions to the pharmacist as needed.
- Process prescriptions accurately using Kroll pharmacy software (asset).
- Prepare, package and dispense medications according to prescriptions.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory: stock checks, placing orders, removing expired products.
- Handle third-party billing issues and resolve insurance rejections.
- Complete administrative tasks such as record-keeping, data entry, and workflow support.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with pharmacy standards and procedures.
Requirements:
- Pharmacy Assistant/Technician certification from a recognized program.
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience (retail preferred).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience with Kroll is an asset.
- Ability to work in a Medium-paced community pharmacy environment.
