<p><h3>Job Title</h3><p>Service Technician</p>
<h3>Location</h3><p>North Central US Customer Center Locations – Elmhurst, Illinois; Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; Livonia, Michigan; Indianapolis, Indiana; Hamilton, Ohio. Service area may extend to travel within a 3‑hour radius or beyond to sites such as Green Bay, WI and South Bend, IN.</p>
<h3>Schedule</h3><p>Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM</p>
<h3>Pay Range</h3><p>Starting at $25.00–$35.00 per hour, plus a $3,000 sign‑on bonus.</p>

<h3>Job Overview</h3><p>The Field Service Technician for Ingersoll Rand’s Compression Systems and Services Division will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all makes of rotary screw and reciprocating and/or Centac and ECC air compressors, along with additional compressed air system components. Use precision measuring tools for diagnostic troubleshooting and maintain knowledge of all operations and parts manuals.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul>
<li>Perform preventive maintenance on Ingersoll Rand compressed air equipment.</li>
<li>Interact with customers to address existing and unanticipated equipment concerns.</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Service Coordinator on ordering and gathering parts and supplies needed for installations and repairs.</li>
<li>Assist and train apprentices and field service technicians.</li>
<li>Effectively communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co‑workers.</li>
<li>Provide technical assistance on equipment pre‑commissioning and start‑ups, installations, and repairs of compressed air systems.</li>
<li>Increase customer awareness of Ingersoll Rand products, services, and solutions such as preventative maintenance, diagnostics, audits and leak detection.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Requirements</h3><ul>
<li>2+ years experience troubleshooting industrial/commercial mechanical systems.</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months, no major traffic violations in the past 5 years.</li>
<li>Ready to be on-call; first 90 days no on‑call. On‑call weeks may occur every 4 weeks or more.</li>
<li>Highly physical role requiring manual handling, stooping, kneeling, lifting within safety limits.</li>
<li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Core Competencies</h3><ul>
<li>Read wiring schematics and diagrams for all equipment.</li>
<li>Advanced network systems installations (IMMC/ASC, X Series Automation).</li>
<li>Basic vibration troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Basic air quality system knowledge.</li>
<li>Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld computer.</li>
<li>Maintain cost‑efficient business travel practices.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Preferences</h3><ul>
<li>Industrial air compressor maintenance knowledge.</li>
<li>EPA certification.</li>
<li>Veterans/Active‑Duty Military encouraged to apply.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Travel & Work Arrangements</h3><ul>
<li>Daily travel within 3‑hour radius of service area.</li>
<li>Company vehicle and fuel card provided.</li>
</ul>
