Technical Lead
Job Description
Our client, an experienced company in the industrial sector is looking for a Technical Lead to guide a complex project, leading teams through the decommissioning of IT assets including SaaS, COTS, custom apps, and data platforms.
This is a 12-month contract will potential to extend, hybrid in Vancouver. We've placed multiple resources with this client who have extended multiple times.
What You'll Do:
- Lead technical initiatives to retire IT resources and manage data migration/archival.
- Translate complex technical concepts into actionable work for teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment with ITSM, CMDB, and governance frameworks.
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Support capability mapping and rationalization to inform decision-making.
What You Bring:
- Proven experience leading technical teams with strong emotional intelligence.
- Hands-on experience in IT asset decommissioning and data migration strategies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Scrum/Agile, and project management practices.
- Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable balancing tactical and strategic work.
- Mining systems and operational technology experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Systems architecture, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), DevOps/CI-CD, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), configuration management.
